A Message From The Chief
My service began with Murphy Volunteer Fire Department as a firefighter in 1984. I progressed through the ranks and was promoted as Fire Chief by the Murphy City Council on January 1, 1996. I have been very fortunate to see our department make many positive changes during my tenure. We have been very blessed by strong, dedicated support by our community and elected officials. It is my desire for personnel of this department to be motivated, educated and trained in preparation for response for we frequently encounter people experiencing a crisis. We strive to be proactive in setting and accomplishing goals in an effort to be an excellent resource for the citizens and visitors of our area. |
